Students usually come into Nelson High School's photo program as little caterpillars with an interest in taking pictures and seeing the world more fully. Throughout the semester their understanding of photography crystallizes as they learn important compositional skills, technical aspects of the camera, photo editing/manipulating, photo history and so much more through hands-on/minds-on fun and engaging lessons. By the end of their time with Nelson, students are equipped to take flight on their own photographic journey seeing, interpreting and contributing to many exciting spheres of visual art, design, photography, storytelling, and a planet of creativity.
